What is Lux 1440?

The Lux 1440 handpiece is a Semi-ablative fractional laser, which means that it improves the appearance of skin imperfections such as wrinkles, brown spots and minor scars by generating heat in the skin without causing harm to the skin surface.

How does Lux 1440 Work?

The Lux 1440 works by delivering heat energy into the skin through thousands of tiny, deep columns. This in turn stimulates collagen remodeling and accelerates skin cell renewal. As a result, healthy tighter skin grows to replace old wrinkled skin and areas of scarring. In order to remove brown spots and pigmented lesions, the heat energy also destroys melanin (pigment responsible for the color of the skin) until it can be naturally expelled by the body.

Is Lux 1440 Recommended for all Skin Types?

The Lux 1440 can be used on all skin types including tanned and darker skin. In fact, clinical studies show that non-ablative fractional laser can be safely and effectively used in patients with darker skin tones as they do not develop abnormal pigmentation that often arises with other laser rejuvenation procedures.
