What is Diode Laser Alex?

The Diode Laser Alex is Alma’s groundbreaking technology that utilizes the high absorption benefits of the Alexandrite wavelength. In addition, its diode laser emits light beam with a narrow spectrum and provides deepest skin penetration and superior melanin absorption. This innovative handpiece offers a cutting-edge hair removal solution for patients of all skin types including darker skin.

How does Diode Laser Alex Work?

The Diode Laser Alex emits highly controlled light energy into the deepest layers of the skin. This light energy is then converted into heat energy which causes localized damage in the area by selectively heating the melanin (a pigment responsible for the color of the skin), thereby destroying the stem cells in the hair follicle while not causing harm to the skin surface. In addition, its integrated contact cooling system delivers bursts of cool air into the target area to prevent burn injuries or overtreatment. In just one treatment session, the hair follicle loses its ability to grow new hair. Over time, the treated area becomes smoother and free from unwanted hair.
