2024 Fotona XS Dynamis – Er:YAG Laser Workstation

The Fotona XS Dynamis is the Er:YAG member of Fotona's Dynamis family. It runs a single 2940 nm Erbium:YAG source, the wavelength most strongly absorbed by water in the skin, so it can remove tissue in very fine layers with little heat spread. That makes it a favorite for precise resurfacing, as well as Fotona's non-ablative SMOOTH® mode.

Fotona's Variable Square Pulse (VSP) technology lets the operator pick pulse durations from cold ablation to thermal modes, so a single system can cover light peels, deeper resurfacing and non-ablative tightening protocols.

Fotona XS Dynamis systems typically include Er:YAG handpieces from Fotona's published range, such as the R11 variable-spot handpiece (2–7 mm), the R04-Ti with 3–12 mm spacers, and fractional handpieces such as the PS03X and FS01. FDA-cleared indications (Er:YAG 2940 nm). The Fotona Dynamis family's Er:YAG laser, which covers the XS Dynamis, is FDA 510(k) cleared under K101306 and K143723 for surgical incision, excision, ablation, vaporization and coagulation of soft tissue. Cleared uses include:

• Dermatology and plastic surgery: skin resurfacing, skin tags, keratoses, verrucae (warts), epidermal nevi and actinic cheilitis
• Fractional resurfacing of soft tissue with the FS01 fractional handpiece (K143723)
• Soft tissue surrounding the eye, and oral and intra-oral soft tissue
• ENT, gynecology, genitourinary and general surgery soft-tissue indications
• Podiatry: warts, plantar verrucae and matrixectomy
