What is LuxV?

The LuxV handpiece utilizes intense pulsed light (IPL) technology in order to treat acne breakouts and finer pigmented lesions. By providing longer pulse durations, it effectively targets areas of skin imperfection without harming the surrounding tissue.

How does LuxV Work?

The LuxV handpiece emits highly controlled light energy into the deeper layers of the skin. This in turn activates the body’s natural collagen and elastin production, thereby enhancing skin cell renewal process. The old damaged skin cells are then replaced with new healthy cells, reducing acne scars and improving overall appearance.

In order to remove pigmented lesions, the light energy also targets melanin, which is the black to brown pigment responsible for the skin imperfection. The light energy is then converted into heat energy which destroys the melanin in the area. Over time, the skin becomes lighter and aesthetically pleasing.
