2016 Cynosure SmartSkin+ – Fractional CO2 Resurfacing Workstation

The SmartSkin+ is Cynosure's micro-ablative CO2 workstation. Its 10,600 nm beam is absorbed by water in the skin, and the scanner places a grid of tiny ablation columns with untouched skin between them. That lets the operator choose anything from a light fractional pass with short downtime to a full ablative treatment.

Four controls set the treatment: power, pulse, density and stack (the number of pulses at each spot). Changing them adjusts depth, heat and coverage without changing handpieces.
